Donation to Meningitis Research Foundation

Countess Peel, James and Sally Bethell had an excellent visit to the Meningitis Research Foundation Laboratories in Manchester in November 2015.  Meningitis Research Foundation extremely appreciative of the donation of £40,000 from the Foundation.

This funding will go directly towards new MenB research undertaken by the Health Protection Agency into the understanding of critical host-pathogen interactions and could potentially lead to novel vaccine targets and improving current vaccines through development of new recombinant proteins with broader meningococcal strain coverage. It will be especially valuable in understanding and developing the new MenB vaccine
