A day at Ascot Races

 In News

We would like to take the time to sincerely thank Ascot Races for their hospitality and generosity and the use of the Gazebo in the Garden on Sat 28th July.

We had a fabulous day and the weather was very kind to us also.

A lot of Jessica’s friends travelled from London to join us for the day, helping us raise more money for Jessica’s Foundation.

Shirley Gieron from Meningitis Research Foundation was able to join us on the day and gave a talk on their work so far and she used this opportunity to spread awareness to all our guests on the vital signs and symptoms’ of meningitis.

We have managed to raise over £18,000 this year which will help us get closer to our goal in raising money for the vital research into Meningitis.

Our funding for Meningitis Research Foundation has already raised nearly half the money needed for cutting edge research that deciphers the genetic blueprints of people who had meningitis and of the bacteria that caused their illness, and puts them together in a single database that will be an invaluable resource for decades to come.

So far we have donated over £81,000 to Meningitis Research Foundation which I know has been greatly appreciated. It is wonderful with your support we have been able to raise this money in Jessica’s memory.

Matt Chapman from ITV Racing kindly drew the raffle for us.

We also would like to send our special thanks to Jacqui Greet from Ascot Racecourse who was instrumental in helping us arrange everything and making the day run so smoothly.
